How do I register?

Registrations are open, please follow this link: Events.

Enroll for an OGA Membership.

When should I arrive to the venue?

Arrive 1.5 to 2 hours before your scheduled division to allow ample time for Parking, Check-in, and Warm-up.

Are the weigh-ins with or without the Gi?

Same as IBJJF Rules, the weigh-ins will be done with the GI (Kimono) for GI divisions and in NOGI attire for NOGI divisions. The 2 pounds weight allowance will still be in effect.

What is the spectator fee?

Entrance for a spectator is $10.

Do coaches have to pay the spectator fee?

Head instructors will have free entrance to the event.

Rules

Ontario competitions are double elimination for adults and Quebec is single elimation for adults.

For Ontario you need an OGA and for Quebec you need a FQJJB Quebec membership.

Single-Elimination

A single-elimination is a type of elimination tournament where the loser of each match-up is immediately eliminated from the tournament. Each winner will play another in the next round, until the final match-up, whose winner becomes the tournament champion.

Double-Elimination

A double-elimination tournament is a type of elimination tournament competition in which a participant ceases to be eligible to win the tournament’s championship upon having lost two games or matches. It stands in contrast to a single-elimination tournament, in which only one defeat results in elimination. Tournament structure :

From now on, all adult divisions will be double elimination.

Lutando competitors can compete in Gi or Nogi or both. Both formats operate in different rulesets.
